Iron Man is an action game based on the movie of the same name , as well as the classic iterations of the character. It was published on May 2, 2008 to coincide with the premiere of the film in theaters. It was published by Sega, and designed for PlayStation 3 , Xbox 360 (developed by Secret Level), PlayStation 2 , PlayStation Portable , Nintendo DS , Wii , PC (developed Artificial Mind and Movement) and mobile platforms .
Enemies are AIM , Maggia and the terrorist group Ten Rings . The supervillains in the game includes Blacklash , The Controller , Titanium Man , Melter , and Iron Monger .
A significant feature is that the game has Robert Downey Jr. , Terrence Howard and Shaun Toub representing their roles in the film.
During a business trip to Afghanistan to demonstrate the new weapon of Stark Industries , Tony Stark is kidnapped by the terrorist group the Ten Rings , who orders him to build a missile for them. Instead, he and his fellow captive Yinsen secretly build the Mark I, the first armor of Iron Man in the months following his capture. During this time, Yinsen also acts as Stark’s mentor, teaching him humility and speaking of the horrors that his company causes, making Stark reconsider his life. Stark is impressed by the end of armor, calling it “the future”. Armed with a flamethrowerStark uses the armor to defeat several terrorists and destroy their stockpiles of weapons, but Yinsen is killed during the escape. Stark escapes from the caves of the Ten Rings, but his suit is destroyed when it lands in the desert. After being rescued by the Air Force and returned to the United States , Stark declares that his company will manufacture no more weapons, movement frowned upon by his partner Obadiah Stane .
With the help of his staff artificial intelligence J.ARVIS , Stark develops a modern and powerful version of his armor, adding the new repulsor technology Stark Industries and the ability to fly. While testing his new suit at Stark Industries, Tony is informed by his assistant Pepper Potts that armed men are attacking facilities. Stark decides to use his suit to deal with the attackers, and realizes that they are soldiers of Maggia . After the attack, Stark discovers that Maggia is providing weapons to the Ten Rings, and returns to Afghanistan to fight. Using his new armor Mark III “Iron Man”, Stark destroys Maggia weapons stockpiles and an armored hovercraft calledDreadnought . On his way back home faces the United States Air Force . A pair of F-22 Raptors are destroyed by Stark , one is damaged during the chase, but Stark manages to save the pilot. He contacts his friend Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes , who discovers the identity of Stark and cancels the attack jets.
Tony returns home, where Pepper Potts discovers what he has been doing with the Iron Man suit. Rhodes Stark begins to help in his fight against Maggia, informing him of transporting weapons in Afghanistan. Stark transport continues until stopped in the main tank, where it faces the villain Blacklash, a former worker of Stark Industries who now works for Maggia. Iron Man manages to defeat Blacklash and destroy their weapons. Stark is directed to the site of Maggia to destroy the remaining weapons, and then infiltrate the mansion faces Madame MasqueWho then dies after being crushed by a wall that falls on it. Stark discovers Maggia’s ultimate weapon: a heavily armed flying fortress. Iron Man attacks and destroys the fortress, ending Maggia evil once and for all.
While Stark faced Maggia, his corrupt business partner Obadiah Stane secretly gets the first Iron Man armor in Afghanistan and start working with Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) to create a power source. After Rhodes informs him that AIM has attacked a nuclear facility in Russia , Stark decides to face them , also because AIM were the biggest buyers of Stark Industries before he stopped making weapons. Iron Man ends with the theft of nuclear energy and detects a strong radiation signal underground. After following the sign Stark faces Boris Bullski , who created an armor of titaniumsimilar to Iron Man, which makes it “Titanium Man”. However, Stark is able to defeat Bullski and then returns to the United States. Rhodes informs him that AIM has attacked a military ship in the Arctic , and Stark again from robbing nuclear energy. During the battle, Iron Man is attacked by the controller , but manages to defeat him.
After returning to Stark Industries, Tony sends Pepper to hack the computer industry and shipping records found, so he can locate and destroy illegal shipments. However, facilities are attacked by the forces of AIM under the control of Man Titanium, which was sent by Obadiah Stane to steal the Iron Man suit. After discovering the participation of Stane with AIM and the Ten Rings, Stark one Bullski defeat again. Tony returns to his workshop, where he is ambushed by Stane, who steals his arc reactorto create a source of power for your armor. Stark survives, and is informed by Rhodes that AIM kidnapped Pepper. He uses his armor to save Pepper in a facility of AIM, and prevents the explosion of the reactor. Stark decides that AIM is greater than Stane threat and decides to confront them first. He goes to his island and destroys their proton cannon, and later faces and defeat Melter . Stark destroys a factory battle armor, ending the threat of AIM
Stark returns to the United States and contacts Obadiah Stane, discovering that he kidnapped Pepper Potts. Tony returns to Stark Industries, where he faces an armored Stane in the surrounding streets. Stane flies to the roof of Stark Industries and Stark instructs Pepper to overload the arc reactor in the building to damage the suit Iron Monger . The plan works, and Stane is defeated. After the defeat of Maggia, Advanced Idea Mechanics and Iron Monger, Tony Stark decides to continue helping humanity as Iron Man.
