Disney’s Hercules is a platform video game developed in 1997 by Eurocom and distributed by Disney Interactive Software . The game was released for PlayStation and Windows . The story is based on Disney’s animated movie Hercules .
Hercules , son of Zeus , loses his divinity and must prove that he is a real hero to regain his onsterfbaarheid and to return to the gods on Mount Olympus . Before Hercules must perform many tasks and battle with villains including Nessus , the Minotaur , the harpy , the Hydra of Lerna , the Gorgon and Hades . Finally, there are several titans and cyclops .
The game is structured in two dimensions. There are ten different levels and three difficulty levels: “Beginner”, “Medium” and “Herculean”. The last two levels are not available in the “Beginner” mode. Furthermore, there are three levels in which Hercules continuous runs, and can not be stopped. A bar shows how much energy has the player. Yields energy by addressing Hercules icons or drink from Hercules bags that are scattered to find. Hercules has the game to start just a sword as a weapon, though he can use his arms to strike. In the game the player can still find other weapons like a lightsaber, vuurbalwapen, sonic rifle and a magic helmet. This last item Hercules will be invisible for a few seconds if the player activates it. These additional weapons are only useful as long as they have enough energy. Once the power is on, Hercules will again use his regular sword.
There are levels over a number of hidden letters that form the word HERCULES. If the player has found all these, he can then choose from at the start of the game in which level he wants to start. There are four hidden vases which each reveal a password from the current level. If the player enter this password on the home screen, it goes immediately to the appropriate level.
